Angus Writers' circle meets at 7.30pm on the first and third Wednesday of every month at the Rosely Hotel, Forfar Road, Arbroath, Angus DD11 3RB. The programme of meetings includes speakers, workshops and club nights when members read their work and crits are given. New members can expect a warm welcome. 2012 Programme February/March

1 February : Workshop: Eric Yeaman with 'A Writer Reading'.

15 February : Club night:- Readings plus a crit of your work if you want it.

7 March : Liz Strachan adjudicates 'A Letter of Complaint'.

21 March : Club night:- Readings plus a crit of your work if you want it.

Competitions Deadline (members only)

18 February : Letter of Complaint (content max 250 words). To be adjudicated by Liz Strachan on 7 March.

15 February : Poem, any subject (max 40 lines). Adjudicated by Jim Stewart on 18 April.

Angus writers - past and presentChris Longmuir is a founder member of Angus Writers' Circle and is a keen advocate of the value of writers' groups to both the novice and the experienced writer. Many of the group's members have become published following their involvement with the group. Some of the better known members include Eileen Ramsay, romantic novelist, and David Wishart, historical crime author.
